The winter showed its cristallic whiteness and along with the ice outside, her heart froze. Cold, hard and untouched. No new love came along, but if it had, she wouldn't have noticed. Nothing could scratch the surface of her heart anymore.
A stillness had come over her, even though the boy kept asking her the same question again and again. She remembered the hope she'd had when she talked to him kindly, but that feeling had long gone.
Some days she wondered why he hadn't listened to her when she said to him he had to go find his light. In her mind she never really believed the depths he got to.
As time passed by and the cold became more intense, she found it less and less hard to let him go. Indifference had become her master. It made her even colder, but she couldn't hold on. She preached, now she had to practice... she too had to find her light again.
